He is a two-time Funakoshi Karate Association gold medalist and has placed in numerous international and national championships, capturing
gold four times at USA Karate National Championships, gold three times at the American Shotokan Karate Association National Championships,
and gold four times at the Ozawa Cup Memorial Championships.
He holds positions with the USA Karate Board of Directors, the US Olympic Committee Athlete Advisory Council, USA Karate Athlete
Advisory Council, and serves as a World Karate Federation (WKF) athlete representative.
Besides his successful karate career, Morton is also a practicing chiropractor in his hometown in Mississippi.
His seminar at the University of Houston, located at 4800 Calhoun Road, will be divided up into two sessions from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Cost per session is $50 for adults and $40 for children.
